Welcome to the 2019 Triathlon Canada Sport Science Summit.
With the theme "Enhancing performance in high-intensity endurance events", this free event is open to coaches and all interested parties in the WTS Edmonton. The summit aims to bridge the gap between science and practice in triathlon, assisting coaches and athletes in maximizing performance, while ensuring that training for a triathlon is a healthy pursuit.

12:00 - 13:00 Dr. Loren Chiu - Resistance Training in Endurance Athletes: Performance Enhancement or Musculoskeletal Fitness

13:30 - 14:30 Dr. Scott Forbes - Nutritional strategies to enhance sprinting, surges, and finishes kicks
14:45 - 15:30 Coaching roundtable with Jono Hall, Head Coach National Performance Centre, and other HP coaches to conclude
Triathlon Canada certified coaches will receive 3 PD points towards maintenance of certification for attending the sports science summit.
