FRIDAY, AUGUST 20TH

 

Kids Splash & Dash

 

A fun, lighthearted race that includes two components: swimming and running. The event is created to provide an opportunity for youth to participate in a small section of the elite course while promoting active living. Parents can join/race along side their kids free of charge!

  • $20 per athlete (max. 100 participants)
  • Race 1: 6-9 years old (swim 40m; run 225m)
  • Race 2: 10-12 years old (swim 80m; run 225m)

Open Water Swim 

 

An unique opportunity to swim Hawrelak Park lake, with the option of two distances. 

  • $25 per athlete (max. 100 participants)
  • Distance options:

    -1 lap (750 m)
   - 3 laps (2250 m)

​SUNDAY, AUGUST 22ND

Urban Cycling Fondo presented by

 

A community bike race for all ages and abilities, on a closed course with a variety of distance options. (Road bikes are not mandatory).

  • $60 per athlete (max. 400 participants)
  • Distance options:

   - 2 laps (20 km)
   - 4 laps (40 km)
   - 6 laps (60 km)

  • Cut off time: Athletes will not be permitted to start another lap after 10:30 am. 

- Course will be closed at 11:00am.

Try-a-Tri

For young or new triathletes wanting to try a triathlon at a shorter distance! 

  • $45 per athlete (100 participants max)
  • Distance: 300m Swim, 11.6 km Bike, 2 km Run
  • Age requirements: 12+

Corporate Events

 

Our corporate race provides an exciting opportunity for our corporate partners to be involved in the 2021 World Triathlon Championship Finals! We are providing a Sprint Triathlon, Relay triathlon, along with a Bike/Run event option.

  • Sprint Distance: 750m Swim, 23.2 km Bike, 5km Run.
  • Relay Distance: 750m Swim, 23.2 km Bike, 5km Run.
  • Bike/Run Distance: 23.2 km Bike, 5km Run.

Sprint Triathlon

 

Local, regional and national athletes can compete in their respective age group on a beautiful river valley course down at Hawrelak Park. This is a non draft legal race.

  • $125 per athlete (max. 350 participants)
  • Distances: 750m Swim, 23.2 km Bike, 5km Run.

REGISTRATION CLOSED

 

Sprint - Bike/Run

 

The Bike/Run event gives participants an option to compete in a standard or sprint distance without swimming! This is a non draft legal race.

  • $125 per athlete (max participation included in Sprint Triathlon numbers)
  • Distance: 23.2 km Bike, 5km Run

*Athletes MUST pre-declare what race they are competing in during registration (i.e. the Standard Triathlon or the Standard Bike/Run only) and remain with that choice on event day.

Standard Triathlon

 

Local, regional and national athletes can compete in their respective age group on a beautiful river valley course down at Hawrelak Park.  Both standard or sprint distance are options. This is a non draft legal race.

  • $125 per athlete (max. 350 participants)
  • Distances: 1500m Swim, 46.4km Bike, 10km Run.

REGISTRATION CLOSED

 

Standard - Bike/Run

 

Participants have an opportunity to compete in just the bike/run portion of a standard triathlon if not feeling up to swimming. This is a non draft legal race.

  • $125 per athlete (participants included in Standard Triathlon)
  • Distance: 46.4km Bike, 10 km Run.

*athletes MUST pre-declare what race they are competing in during registration (i.e. the Standard Triathlon or the Standard Bike/Run only) and remain with that choice on event day.
